Annona leptopetala live plant

Native to S. America and northeastern Brazil, Annona leptopetala is an evergreen shrub or small tree with a light, uneven crown. It has a 3 to 8 metre height range. The small, twisted bole can range in diameter from 15 to 25 cm. For local use, the eatable fruit is occasionally harvested from the wild. The fruit of the tree is occasionally grown for human consumption. Annona species are extremely rare and distinctive. one and only Annona known to have split carpels. Royce enjoys red flowers. Fruit carpels contain only one seed, and the pulp is sweet and flavorful. Fruits taste sweet and devoid of any acidity or astringency.
